History of Alpha Chi Omega's Philanthropy
The Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity has always been devoted to actively participating in the community and helping others. In 1992, it was decided that Alpha Chi Omega would support victims of domestic violence, through an anonymous organization known as Becky's House. AXO was the first American women's fraternity to tackle the problems of domestic violence head on. Not only do we do this through assisting victims, but also by educating our own members about the topic.

In order to raise money for our beneficiary, Becky's House, the Gamma Nu Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega does various fundraisers throughout the year such as 'Alpha Chi Chella' or 'Pizza Pies with Alpha Chis' and various other fundraisers around campus.
We also have a 'These hands don't hurt' tabling event on campus that helps us raise awareness of domestic violence to students and have them tell us what "Love is...." |
